Microchipping
Give your pets the best chance to make it back home!Although we all try to keep tabs on our pets location at all times, on occasion they may become separated from us. Whether your dog escapes your fence, your cat wonders too far, or a severe storm frightens your pet, a microchip greatly aids in reuniting pets with their families.
Microchips are small trackers (about the size of a grain of rice) painlessly placed under the surface of your pets skin. The chips contain important information about your pet, as well as your personal contact information. It's a one-time placement, usually between the shoulder blades. There is no discomfort to your pet during the procedure. In the event your pet gets separated from you or your family and they are brought to a shelter, animal hospital, or police station, the chip can easily be scanned to obtain your information. You will receive a call with the location of your pet...it's that simple! |
