Meet Our Veterinarians
Susan Turk, Veterinarian, Owner
Dr. Turk grew up in Rockaway Beach, NYC and spent her summers at her family’s dude ranch in Highland, NY. It was here that she developed her love of animals and knew at the young age of 8 that she wanted to be a veterinarian.
Dr. Turk graduated from the University of Florida Veterinary Medicine in 1989 and quickly began working with horses and farm animals at practices in NJ.
Caring for horses was what Dr. Turk fell in love with. For 9 years, she ran her own mobile clinic and cared for horses all over Sussex, Morris and Warren Counties. After starting a family of her own, she decided to sell her horse business, but continued practicing general veterinary medicine at a practice in Fairfield, New Jersey.
As a Columbia resident, Dr. Turk felt the need to bring her services and expertise back to the local community and opened her own practice in 2018. She is excited to provide exceptional medical care for animals such as dogs, cats, and small mammals and will also happily see some farm animals such goats and sheep.
